Community Organizations and Our Schools
One of the under-appreciated aspects of UCFSD is the healthy relationship between our schools, students, and community organizations.
Let’s take the Boy Scouts as an example. Continue reading

Annie Jr.
On Saturday night we saw Annie Jr at the Patton Middle School auditorium. Wow!! Fantastic performance all around — great performances by the leads and the rest of the cast. The set, the props, the costumes, the lighting, the opening credits … it all worked and really brought me back into the 1930s.
I was amazed at the high quality of the performance – very impressive for a middle school! The dedication of the kids, Ms. Stump, and the parents really was apparent. The long hours of practice paid off. Kudos to the cast, crew, and all of those who volunteered and put a ton of energy into the show.
If you haven’t seen the show, there is another performance on Sunday afternoon at 2pm. There are still seats available (as of Saturday night) at ShowTix4U.com …. search for “Patton”.
There are also photos of the cast and crew, taken UCF parent Bill Tsai, available here.

UHS Students in the Rose Bowl Parade
Congratulations to our UHS students and band director Scott Litzenberg for their performance in the Rose Bowl Parade with the Cavalcade of Bands.
Attached below is a link to the TV coverage … pretty cool experience!
Thank you to the members of the community who supported our students in making this trip.

CFPMS – Winter Concert
Last night our middle schoolers took over the Unionville High School auditorium and enchanted the audience with traditional and contemporary holiday music. Principal Tim Hoffman kicked off the evening with an interactive recitation of the first few lines from the 1945 song “Let It Snow“, paying homage to the frightful weather that we all encountered driving to the concert. Pocopson Elementary Winter Concert!
Pocopson Elementary put on its annual K-3 winter concert this morning. As always the parent turn-out was amazing (as can be seen in the headline photo). It was standing room only, and the video cameras and cell phones were out in full force to capture the kids, who were looking and sounding their best.
