As a school board director, I understand that having current technology and well-maintained facilities is essential for our student’s success. Our schools must be equipped with the tools and resources necessary to prepare our students for the future and to give them a high-quality education.

That’s why I am committed to investing in technology and school facilities. This includes buying new technology for our classrooms, such as interactive whiteboards, WiFi, and Chromebooks and providing teachers with training to use it well.  I also made sure that our school district invested in Canvas and student Chromebooks which makes it easier for students and parents to see what’s happening in the classroom, stay current with assignments when they miss school, and access the curriculum.

I also believe it is important to keep our school facilities in good shape. This includes making necessary repairs and renovations, as well as investing in energy-efficient upgrades to save us money in the long run.  The same goes for our outdoor facilities, like playgrounds and athletic fields.

Investing in technology and school facilities is an investment in the future of our students and our community. By providing our students with access to the latest technology and well-maintained facilities, we are equipping them for success in college, career, and life.
